In responce to a discussion several days ago over links, I have decided to open this thread as a place for members to put links to their own station websites.

If we get enough responce I will create a directory divided into regions of all of UKww members stations - with links to the websites - and poss. an interactive UK map. I'm not too sure what peeps opinions on this are, but I feel it might be both a useful and interesting resource to have.

If you have a website you wish to include in the directory then please leave the web address it can be found at, station location/name and height above sea level of the station.

Thank you...

LOL Andy, you must have a very big garden (!)

Thanks for all the replys so far... I've made a make-shift web page with all your stations linked from HERE; take a look and let me know what you think. I have to apologise in advance to anyone I've misplaced on the map because my Geography is not particuarly brilliant - especially my geography of Ireland...

Don't worry about regular updates either, its nice just to have a comprehensive list of members stations in case one of you gets hit by some extreme weather!

Cheers,

Don't think you have a station website from Scotland yet?

Please feel free to add mine:

http://www.crudenbayweather.org.uk/

Early days for me in developing my weather interests in general and the website in particular. When I get the time looks like there are lots of good ideas from other member websites to consider implementing.

Have now updated with the new site addresses / stations.

http://leavenheathweather.port5.com/aws.htm

If you notice any problems in a) where I've put you on the map and b) with links. Please either send me a PM or reply in this thread.

Should anyone else wish to add their AWS data to the UKWW network, please feel free to leave your details - I need the following info,

  • Station name
  • Station location
  • Station height above sea level
  • Site URL

Thanks.

Strange how we have clusters in the IoW and Central England but other areas are sparse.  Did anyone in  NE/NW England or Scotland wake up yesterday to find an AWS in their Christmas stocking?

Could I add another Scottish site?

The site is still untidy and I dearly need time to revamp it. Currently my local WM918 observations are shown, plus hourly updated Scottish Mesomap (using VWS), Metars for Scotland (Using Skymet) and Digital Atmosphere Temperature plots for UK and Europe

For those of you who have recently given addresses and who are wondering why your sites have not been added yet, I am a little busy with work atm, but hope to get some time over Easter weekend to update it.

Thanks for your patience, I will let you know when its all up-to-date so you can check I've put you on the right part of the map !

Cheers, Dave.

The page has been updated fully now to include the new stations and those whose addresses have changed again (Justine!)  and is viewable via the link in the toolbar at the top and here. Thanks to all those who've allowed us to add their weather station sites to the map !

Please let me know if I've left you out / put you in the wrong place in the map / any links didn't work... or any other comments that you have about the layout for instance.

Anyone else who wishes to add their station just add your details in this thread or PM me.

Hope someone manages to see this and we can see if the problem can be sorted!

The map has been updated (sorry for the delay) and also has a new home, the address is http://www.ukweatherworld.co.uk/aws - which can alternatively be viewed by the hotlink at the top of the forum pages.

This is a plea for any member of UKww who owns a weather station and either publishes data to the www via an Automatic Weather Station, or simply just keeps an archive of data on the internet. We would like to put you on the map so to speak!

Just reply to this thread with your location, height ASL, and website address, and we'll do the rest.

Cheers.

Dave.

Please add my weather stn (Elgin, Moray, Scotland) to your list...

http://www.munrobaggins.co.uk

Standard Davis software...Weatherlink 5.6..plus links to the usual CWOP and Weather Wunderground..

My Web site is still in infancy and not quite up to some of the more professional standards that some of your contributors have made...one day I may get there..

Regards

baggins

Thanks Paul. whilst this is being highlighted are there any other new member with weather data online who would like to be added to the list? I'm sure there must be more than 39 members out who regularly record and upload weather data.. http://www.ukweatherworld.co.uk/aws/

Worth noting that the guy that has previously taken responsibility for updating this page for us has been unavailable for a while, so whilst I'm sure something can be sorted to continue the updates, there may be a learning curve for someone...

My Weatherunderground page is updated half hourly. When interesting things happen (like tomorrow's forecast storm perhaps) I put it into Rapid Fire mode - updates every 8 seconds.

Isle of Berneray, Western Isles (Outer Hebrides), Scotland

20ft above sea level (rather less than that when tomorrow's 5.5m high tide coincides with a southerly gale...)

Well I have finally got round to sorting out the site, very basic using the WD software and I have linked in my IP Camera too. Unfortunately the anneometer is still in the garage as I cannot site it on the roof as yet! Shall 'upgrade' the site over time, but for now, here it is:

All, my AWS Website has been offline for about a year, but I have just resurrected it in its original state for now, comprising of a set of WeatherFlash pages updated every 5 seconds, supplemented by static VWS web pages updated every 15 minutes. The data is derived from an Oregan WMR 918 based just south of Kingston, Surrey.

The site can be found here: http://weather.thehartleys.org

With a direct link to the Realtime pages here: http://weather.thehartleys.org/realtime.htm

I am working on some webcams, etc to augment the site further. Hopefully including timelapse movie creation, dont know if this is of interest to people?!

Folks,

AWS web pages are in the making and there's lots more research and work to do as yet! Live data mostly available 24/7; data logged at 5 min intervals 24/7 (15 min intervals when station has been offline and manually uploaded) via link to Wunderground. The station setup is new so not a great deal of archived data so far :)

I have VWS and a webcam to integrate into the site but posting daily 'snapshots' at the moment owing to a lack of available time due to illness in the family since New Year :(

Station is 2.7m ASL - Web address is: http://www.sandwichweather.co.uk

Enjoy!

Best regards

Jeff
