Just to update everyone on the development of the StrikeStar UK network.
We now have 29 Boltek stations sending data to us for triangulation. This is enabling us to generate almost realtime, triangulated strike data. We have tightened up the calibration on the system, as well as the minimum triangulation requirements (a minimum of 3 stations) to report a strike and so far the data seems to be very accurate.
We are happily allowing free use of the 30 minute delayed image at http://www.strikestaruk.com in fact we actively encourage people to use this on their website. The image for this is shown below
You can subscribe to StrikeStar to view the realtime images which show the UK and Europe from as little as £2.95 for a month.
If there are any other Boltek/NexStorm users out there who would like to send us their data (and get free access to the live data) then please let us know as the more detectors we have the more accurate the data becomes.
