Yesterday (Sunday 24th ) saw temperatures hit 34C through most parts of Sydney. That temperature is not that dangerous in itself, but unfortunately it was combined with dry 100kph NW winds - dewpoints were almost 0C.
Seven homes were lost near Sydney.
