
The weather turned colder on the 17th as high pressure developed across Scandinavia and ridged across the UK with the Azores high

Frost that were non existent in the first half of the month occurred every night during the second half and doube digit maxima disappeared.
The high pressure block over Scandinavia was unable to produce and easterly but it kept the UK on the cold side with the 26th a particularly cold day.
