Here's the forecast from the 14th June 1995 and Michael Fish mentions how hot it has been in Russia, a sign of things to come for the UK

Here's something that was fairly unusual for the summer of 1995 and that was a thundery forecast. Thunderstorms were not common during this summer.

Here's the 11th July 1995 forecast. I remember a thunderstorm during the morning. It cleared and it was a hot and sunny but sticky afternoon when it clouded up and we had another thunderstorm about 4pm

Here is the 26th July 1995 forecast. Remember this one very well, it looked as though thunderstorms were going to move northwards but they died out. We just had thick high cloud here, the reminants of the rain and storms.

Here's that scorching Countryfile forecast again of 30th July 1995

Here's the 2nd August 1995 forecast and a hint of some relief from the hot weather. I remember a couple of small thunderstorm during this period. They developed over the Pennines and pushed westwards on the flow.

Here's the 7th August 1995 forecast and how much high pressure was dominating. August 1995 is the sunniest August on record but even during the first half of the month there were some cloudy interludes as can be seen here
