Hi.

I think I made application via a response to an automated greeting message before I discovered this announcement!

Previously sent message follows:

- - - - - - - - - -

Would it be possible to grant me access to this discussion thread:

"A debate between Hans Erren and Nasif Nahle"?

The discussion of radiative 'heat' (thermal energy) transfer is of interest to me and I think I can make a contribution to the discussion.

Background: I am an electrical/RF Engineer with a lot of experience in the field of RF (circuit design, antenna design/characterization, RF network design, analysis and measurement/characterization and practical operation of same as a former cellular RF system engineer) so the area of 'IR radiation' is right up my alley!

Thanks in advance.

_Jim (ARS: W B five W P A)

I am extremely interested in the biological data and data from other scientific studies - will keep my eyes on these posts. My interest is in seeing the data from the numerous scientific studies, gathered and properly delivered. I hope that this forum can be cutting edge in that respect. There are some brilliant minds in this forum and I intend to learn as much as I can from them. I will keep my 'passionate reasoning' to a minimum and allow the pure science of this to prevail over conjecture. I have many questions.

As a layman, I appreciate this resource. Just wanted to add to " AGW3, the hockeystick and the medieval warm period," since it sort of got off track. I saw this hockeystick before, in the middle '60s. It started out as the front end of a normal curve discussing world population. In 1968, "The Population Bomb" , Paul Ehrlich(sp?) was published. The curve morphed into a hockeystick, probably because of the curve's Malthusian implications. What is the probability that two independently discovered hockeysticks would be identical, and that identical hockeysticks would be independently discovered by people with the same political agenda? My daughter thinks I am an AGW denier. I dont think I am, but I am a used hockeystick denier.

Love Lou

Nigel Bolton. Would like to briefly add something to the New Zealand Glacier thread, as I have an idea what may be happening, though I am happy to stand corrected. Not a forum I use much, but I do like to dip in from time to time.
