I'll be taking a break from setting this comp at the end of the year, although I may well think of something new to do in the spring :) So your last chance for now!

As usual, the highest positioned station each day gets 5 points, 2nd highest gets 3 points and third gets 1 point. If there's a tie they each get 5 points or whatever. The idea is to pick the stations you think will score the most points. All figures taken from WeatherOnline and if a station stops submitting data, then tough!

For December:-

Q1 Pick two of the following stations which you think will score the most points for recording the Highest Temperature

  • Bournemouth
  • Cambourne
  • Chivenor
  • Great Malvern
  • Herstmonceux
  • Jersey AP
  • Scilly St Marys
  • Solent MRSC

Q2 Pick two of the following stations which you think will score the most points for recording the Lowest Temperature

  • Aberdeen
  • Aboyne
  • Altnaharra
  • Aviemore
  • Eskdalemuir
  • Lerwick
  • Loch Glascarnoch
  • Tulloch

Q3 Pick two of the following stations which you think will score the most points for recording the Highest precipitation

  • Capel Curig
  • Eskdalemuir
  • Lerwick
  • Loch Glascarnoch
  • Sennybridge
  • Shap
  • Skye
  • Tulloch

Q4 Pick two of the following stations which you think will score the most points for recording Highest Sunshine:-

  • Boulmer
  • Bournemouth
  • Cambourne
  • Coleshill
  • Filton
  • Herstmonceux
  • Manston
  • Yeovilton

Bonus Questions:-

1) What will be the highest temperature recorded in the UK and Ireland during December? (25 pts if within 0.5c, 15pts if up to 1c out, 5pts if up to 2c out)

2) What will be the lowest temperature recorded in the UK and Ireland during December? (25 pts if within 0.5c, 15pts if up to 1c out, 5pts if up to 2c out)

3) What will be the final Hadley CET figure for 2007? (25 pts if within 0.2c, 15pts if within 0.5c out, 5pts if within 1c)

4) Will any of these cities record a 'white christmas ' (yes or no) (25 pts for each one correct)

London
Belfast
Cardiff
Glasgow

5) What will be the highest temp recorded on Christmas Day? (25 pts if within 0.5c, 15pts if up to 1c out, 5pts if up to 2c out)

6) What will be the lowest temp recorded on Christmas Day? (25 pts if within 0.5c, 15pts if up to 1c out, 5pts if up to 2c out)

7) On how many days in December will Aviemore record lying snow (snow traces or more) (25 pts if spot on, 15pts if I day out, 5pts if 2 days out)

8) Will anywhere in Britain record 50mm or more rain on either the 24th or 25th December? (as per a certain Daily Express story ;) ) Yes or No (25 pts if correct)

All welcome to give it a try

Entries must be in by Midnight 30th November

Well done to Scoggy!

A tricky competition and some equally tricky results. Aviemore, no snow - wonder how rare that is.
