UKWW Weather Competition future

Those the are regular entrants will know that the 2008 comp has tailed away somewhat. Due in the main to lack of time. I thought in advance of 2009, that it would be good to ask you all your opinions about next year.
Please vote accordingly below and we'll take a steer from there. Could I ask those who have not entered before to pay particular attention to what (if anything) would persuade them to have a go.
Please lets get as many votes as possible.

My bad :% o|
I think the marking simply got to me - I can't believe how much of a pain it is....

Time has been a problem in the 2nd half of the year. (It didn't help me getting a massive Malware attack on the PC just after I last PM'd you...)

Yes, it's fun setting these competitions, but finding the time to score them is not always so easy (or fun). One reason why I called it a day, though if I could think of something that'd be much easier to score I might have another go. Let me think about it :)

I've thoroughly enjoyed them though do understand the work involved. So if someone can come up with a less time consuming method, I'm all for it.
Cheers,

Lets see if we can get some more answers this w/e and go from there. Any suggestions of how to do a new comp welcome, as it seem to be the fave.

As really we should have set up a new competition by now, I'll agree to take it on unless Andy wants to set one on the idea he mentions above? If there are no further replies today, I'll kick things off albeit latewith a deadline of say midnigh on the 4th. I feel I'd be able to then revert to midnight on the last day of the month for the rest of the year, luck permitting...
PM me if you like Andy.

Idea would be to use the daily summaries rather than weatheronline data - more hit and miss as to whether people get points, but also much easier to score.
I'd advise folk to have a look back through the daily summaries (including the MetO data that I also now publish) to see which stations tend to feature most often :)

The only other idea I had was perhaps to make the bonus which particular day of the month recorded maximums/minimums, giving an element of luck to some of the possibilities. Along the lines of "Which day of the month will the minimum dewpoint be recorded in the UK"???
It would be good also to encourage more participants, particularly from people who are complete amateurs (like me [hehe] )
I'll hang on 'till the w/e then. Let me know if you run out of time as I could set an old-style one just for this month.
