WEATHER FORECASTERS REQUIRED

Are you seeking an exciting and rewarding career in meteorology?

MeteoGroup UK has opportunities for both experienced and graduate meteorologists, with the relevant qualifications, to join its forecasting team.

MeteoGroup, a PA Group company, is Europe’s largest independent weather business, providing a range of products and services to weather critical and weather sensitive markets. It has demonstrated considerable success in many market sectors in recent years.

Relevant qualifications include either a degree or post-graduate degree in meteorology or a related discipline.

Experienced forecasters should have undertaken several years of forecasting duties within the UK.

Graduate applicants should note that the ability to analyse synoptic charts and interpret forecast charts would be a distinct advantage, as would familiarity of the climate of the British Isles, although successful applicants will benefit from intensive in-house training.

A good knowledge of the geography of the UK and Europe, excellent communication skills and a willingness to work shifts, including weekends and nights, are essential for all applicants.

The successful candidate can expect an attractive remuneration package together with a generous benefits package, and 25 days holiday per annum.
