There were some heavy snowfalls during mid-March 1887 as a low pressure pushed southwards in an Arctic airflow



There was some exceptionally heavy snowfalls  within the Bristol and SE Wales area on the 15th

22 inches at Clevedon
20 inches at Chepstow
20 inches at Gaerlwydd
18 inches at Piercefield Park
16 inches at Bristol
14 inches at Llanfrechta Grange

Other areas
12 inches at Tiverton
9 inches at Pinner Hill
5 inches at Ross-on-Wye
5 inches at Camden Square
