but u know for some strange reason and even if I experience almost every year the suffocating Athenian summer,i find it really uncomfortable when London hits
30C during the day, which for Athens is a minimum temperature in a relatively hot day.Maybe its bsc I dont have an A/C in my place in London...who knows

Plus London`s humidity is much higher making it actually feel even hotter, for example 30C with 80% humidity gives an heat index or what it feels like of 37.7C

Exactly,so dont accuse us Londoners for moaning all the time.We are right [hehe]

I felt worse in 2003 in London with a mere 38C compared to the 47.5C i experienced in Athens in 2007:)

Mesogeiakos - 2/9/2011 12:43 A hot September start for Greece. 36C in Filadelfeia in Attica while 37C was registered in Serres and Ormenio and 38C in Soufli

Indeed Pit, Soufli was the hottest place in Europe yesterday with 37.8oC and Argostoli may well of had the highest minimum with 26.2C, subject to more scrutiny from all the sources, by me when i get home from work

More bad weather for Greece yesterday with gales and heavy rain. Athens temps ranging from 13.6C to 18.2C. Kymi in Eastern Sterea Hellas and Euboea region had 125.0 mm of rain making it the wettest place in Europe. Mediterranean Turkey in the SW region of Antalya really badly hit there also with loss of life and severe floods and infrastructure damage to bridges etc. Glad i`m not a holidaymaker in either of these countries at the moment!
