Have been Invaded here in Worcester, they are finding their way onto my house. Is there a chemical free solution?

Some surprising suggestions from the net include cucumber, mint, coffee, cayenne pepper, citrus oils, soapy water or baby powder. Anything that has a distinct scent will apparently interfere with their pheromone-based ability to tolerate/navigate the treated environment so they'll just go elsewhere. Possibly also leaving the lights on? Posted Image

Have had some in the kitchen, they found their way into the medicine cabinate and were drinking the Benylin!!! A few also in the lounge today too.

Must try Talc to interfere with the pheremones. I bet Brut works. It seems to on everything else.

Phenomenal increase in numbers this past week, coincident with the warmer weather conditions. This is especially true with Common Black Ant and Common Yellow Ant, with several nests spotted with huge colony numbers.

One or two ants have again made it into the kitchen, but nests responsible for releasing these individuals have been dealt with.
