Busy Skies over Worcs (aviation)

Not sure what has been going on for the last 2 or 3 days, but there has been an abundance of Chinooks and army helicopters flying right overhead. 3 chinooks have just flown right overhead at very low altititude, travelling from a NE to W direction. We seem to be under some kind of flight path that we haven't observed before. Regular flights. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

A few heavy helicopters have flown overhead here in the past two days also. One very low flying Chinook rattled windows and blinds at my work today. It is not a new thing though, a lot of air exercises have routinely included airspace over the hilly areas here - but cannot say I have ever noticed them fly quite so low overhead.
