I've had a quick search of the internet and can only find charts which give potential maximum temperature v partial thickness, does anyone know an "understandable" formila or rule of thumb to work out max  temps v partial thickness?

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers,

Paul D

Thanks Chris, that was one of the better sites I found, actually very helpful, but I can't quite figure out the formula they use !!

Cheers,
