Well this makes a nice change for Plymouth with all reds for yesterday and coming out top too. London and the SE all saw their mean temps to date fall, whereas the west country increased theirs, with the exception of Portland.

Another good day for the westcountry, especially Plymouth coming out top two days running. Chilly this morning in parts of west/NW London

The tide is changing with the westcountry getting more and more involved in the daily top half of the tables just recently. Will St James and Co have enough from their warm autumn gatherings to fend off St Marys and the Channel Islands come the end of August 2012. They certainly are in a much better position than this time last year. Is the cushion big enough though? Impressive mean temps for all of this group considering they are for the first half of Autumn!!!

Exactly one week ago St Mary`s was 1.73C behind St James Park, today it is now just 1.40C behind.

Todays temps and tables, Northolt has had 3 cold nights on the trot!

Below are the Mean temps for October only just to see how we are shaping up, none with all reds but Plymouth and Culdrose both managed all blues. The October means are up to and including the 18th.

Well I am going into hibernation now the temps have gone sub 16. The sun was pleasent today though, trying to remember if we had this much sun last year. I don't think we did, seem to remember thinking that didn't bode well for the winter. So hopefully though we might end up with very low mins, might have some better days.

Here are todays temps and tables, nearly had our 1st air frost from this group with Northolt just missing out with a low of 0.2C. St Marys now challenging Plymouth and will no doubt go above tomorrow, the fightback has started lol

Again another cool night in the London and SSE area with low temps this morning compared to the SW.
Plymouth although having all reds have been overtaken by St Mary`s as expected, Northolt stands in its way next!

[size="<span"]Nor me! lol, Jersey although down towards the bottom of the daily table today, goes up to 3rd in the annual table at the expense of Gravesend. Heathrow actually had a colder minimum than Northolt this morning, not a common occurence

Heathrow had the warmest max yesterday but was let down significantly by having the coldest minimum, and eneded up being bottom due to the coastal minimums in the south and south west being much higher.

Not such a good day for the west country what with all the rain keeping the temps down. The 2nd table below are the mean temps for October so far, with a surprise leader!

A second bad day for the SW due to the cold front that didnt make it over to the SE, keeping the SW is a much colder flow. London and the SE had all reds yesterday in stark contrast to the SW with all blues. Portland nudged up one place ahead of Guernsey into 7th place. Look at the 24 hr drops in mean temps, Camborne took 0.11C off its mean to date!

Looks like London and Gravesend have caught the west country`s cold. Whilst the west country, coastal regions in the south and the Channel Islands had the better of the maximums yesterday.

Here is the data for the last 2 days, Heathrow has lost its 2nd place to Jersy and Gravesend has gone down 2 places at the expense of St Catherines Point and the Solent.

Not a good day for the westcountry especially Plymouth ending up bottom of the pile with the lowest maximum and minimum. Warm in London and Gravesend today. 2nd table is the means for October only.
