Hmm, I would have thought so too John. I see there is no icon next to my name although PN's are enabled, maybe it just doesn't show up against ones own profile. The only other thing I can think of is that somehow the person you are trying to PM has blocked you. Beyond that I'm stumped !
Cheers,
Paul

I can see a little icon (Posted Image) like this next to your name. Clicking on this gives me the option to PM you. That option seems independent of whether or not the user actually has enabled the PM system for their account. I dunno if that's a bug in the forum software or simply a problem with how we've got it set up - you'd think the two would correlate. Until that changes (if it's even possible) AFIACT the only reliable place to find out if the user has PM's enabled is on their profile page.
If don't think it's a problem with a user blocking PMs for others simply because there see to many users I see this problem with and I can't have upset them all (can I  ?) .

Hey All,

This note is for the Administrator, @ the 5th of June "Conrad" posted in the NA WX Chat that he could not generate a new monthly topic. I made the error of mistaking a familiarity issue with an account issue.

Apparently I must have offended him substancially, in the attempt to be helpful. Could you please review his account permissions and Forum accesses to insure his account is in order.

I have sent him an e-mail in apology, whether or not he returns, my preference is that his account is set right. My thanks to you and the team for the excellent support. Sorry, if my post has caused an issue, hopefully, we can rectify all...

Forgive if this has been mentioned before, is there a reason why the front main page doesn't get updated any more like it used to. The UK Spring Forecast has been there for months.

Pictures.

I have a very very slow internet connection and each picture can take up to, on a bad day, about 45 seconds to a minute to load which makes looking at them very tedious. I've gave up with the July photo competiton because it became irritating for me which is a real pity. I know the problem is my connection speed and not the forum but I can't do anything about it.

The old forum layout would load all the pictures full size which although meant I'd have to wait several minutes or longer, it did mean I could look at them all at the same time, as it were.

Is there anyway that I can look at the pictures on each posting full size without having to click on each individual thumbnail?

Thanks.

Bottom left of the page next to the language options you'll find the background colour options.

At the bottom of the page under the fast reply box you may have changed the background to thunderstorm.

Lost the listing of the latest posted to threads. Have I inadvertently switched something off, or has the forum format changed?

site is really really sluggish...anyone else having issues?
This page took over 90 seconds to load. The same issues happening on 2 different PCs. I'm having no problems with other net access.

Yes, same for me John, this was actually quicker than replying to Dave in the comments section.
