Logging in today I seem to have lost the option to hide online status?

I just noticed I can't REPLY or START NEW TOPIC on the UK & Ireland Daily Extremes thread.

Anyone else (apart from Andy M who clearly can)? Is this deliberate or an oversight?

It wasn't restricted before, I'm sure. It's definitely helpful for other UKWW members to add extra info/comments or to fill in when Andy is absent.

You could be right, I can't remember how the old forum worked (embarrassed smilie). More likely I will use Current and Recent Weather than that one (which I can access)

Tried the links that I have posted as a kind of index in the Weather in Past forum. Instead of the thread coming up when pressing on the link an error page comes up.

Not so much a technical issue but ... is it possible to install some of the older smilies or a slightly wider selection at some point in the future? E.G. the weather ones & an embarrassed one... No hurry obviously since there are probably lots of more important things to do...

Glad you're back. When you say "no end of problems" is that more than just the extra white space in posts (elsewhere?) that seems to be an issue with IE?

Looking back I think a lot of them stemmed from the fact I didnt realise I wasn't signed in ( I never sign out of Ukww so automatically in it when I start up pc ). With Andy's help and advice I cleared my browser history and got rid of all Ukww bookmarks, removed it from my favourites list etc. Then following the advice I tried to sign in with username followed by 'forgot password'. At this point I supplied my e-mail address and got the response an e-mail will be sent top you etc etc......it still hasn't arrived some 20 hours later. I also tried the same procedure, this time entering my new e-mail address and got a 500 error mssg.

Extremely grateful for all the hard work that goes into this website so this is not a criticism in any way, just feedback.

NB. Daft question but text/font size now Im accessing via Firefox is ludicrously small and feint. Is there any way to make it larger ?

Thanks.

Not sure, others have complained about the colour. This can be altered by changing theme - winter seems preferred. Font size I dunno, are you zoomed out in Firefox? Try ctrl-0 (if you don't already know)

I'd guess feedback is welcomed since it's unlikely you're the only one with that problem :)

EDIT: if you're having big problems with the font size I use "no-squint " as a addon to Firefox. It lets me change the font size (only) of the any website (per website) to make my little netbook slightly more usable

The other way to zoom in is hold the Control button down and then use the scroller on the mouse forward to zoom and towards you to zoom out
