Top 30 posts with auto refresh At the top of the main forum page

Now available on the forum main page (http://www.ukweatherworld.co.uk/forum) is a latest 30 posts bit. It auto refreshes every 30secs, and means you can just leave it open, and it'll always have the latest most up to date posts.

NOTE: You must click the date and time of the latest post on the right column to take you to the latest post

Clicking the thread title on the left will bring up the first post in the update thread.

I'd like 30 too, and after all, you can minimize it with the "-" on the side.

This is really useful to have Dave - thanks for sorting. I'm on the side of the "30-ers" too!

Cheers - John

On a busy day IMO 20 is far to little, after all it was 50 before!

Thanks for sorting this Dave. I quite liked the top50 but sometimes (after a weekend away) like to use the top200. I might find 20 a little limiting, although I guess (IF you've time) a link with a longer list could also be added.
FWIW I normally click on this arrow Posted Image (on the right hand side) to go to the last post.

First, since it took ages for me to get logged back in, thanks for all the work that has been put it to enable this upgrade.

As to the top 20, I think I'd rather, if it is possible, there were more.

Where has the View New Content link gone? I always use that and did on the old software. I've never liked the whole Top 50 thing. The current listing only goes back to 4pm so there must be some other threads which have been posted in since I last logged in.

Agree. Always used the New Threads thing myself. Could we have it back please?

It's back now lol.

BTW Howard, it was your signature that's throwing the formatting out, so I fixed it lol ;)

I'd dearly like to have the top 100 back or at least a couple of the features that it had.
I always used top 100, rather than the top 50.

It always contained threads I had read....View new content does not. I want my list to contain all threads read or not.

When clicking on a thread in the top 100, it opened in a new tab. Currently this is not happening with the top 30. I know that an extra click opens the thread in new tab and I will get used to doing that if necessary, but my preference is as it was.

Sam and I are working on the .xml file so there will be the ability to view more posts, say up to 100 or 200 on the same application by clicking a + on the lower corner.

Ah nice one...I've just been fiddling with it myself unawares...so I've probably screwed it up again without realising.

BTW...thanks for the new content link...but I'm getting 403 error with it atm.

Thanks for putting the New Content link back. It works for me though so not sure why Howard can't open it.
