Gardeners who can get to the coast in the next few days should do so - there's a seaweed-bonanza to be had!

It makes great compost, being rich in minerals. Make sure you layer it with soil, weeds, dead leaves etc for best results. Too much in one mass will stink as it rots. Leave the compost heap uncovered for a few days to let rainfall dilute any remaining salt a bit.

It's probably washed most of it away from "my" coast. Or at least the one I'd have easiest access to. Still a good tip & I keep thinking I should get some when the chance presents itself
