Just worked it out Cap Bear would need to average 8.75C for the last 8 days or add 71C to its total to achieve 9.9C & Menton can easily do 10.9C all it needs is to average 6.0C for the nest 8 days of add 48C to its total, so at least 11C achievable for Menton i would of thought. L`ille Rousse needs only to average 5.5C or add 44C to its total to achieve 10.9C

Alvega -6/+22
Alcacer do Sal -3/+21
Coruche -3/+20
The trend for the next 10 days points to a slow rise in temperatures, speccialy max temperatures, as night time inversions will still be powerfull.
I only hope Summer will bring us warmer nights..last one was truly abnormal, and this winter has been having abnormaly cold nights as well ( even in areas that are usually warmer).
Portugal has a really weird almost desertic climate

I know what you mean, stormy.
Actually, Iberia makes me think of southern California, western central Spain (kinda desertic) playing the role of inland southern California (truly desertic) and Portugal playing the role of coastal southern California.
Both of these two areas have a cold oceanic current that runs along their coasts, both of them have a big continental surface (less big, of course, for Iberia), and are at the same latitude.
Coastal Portugal is a bit like a "Morocco of the North" or a "California of Europe".

Yep..it´s sort of it ..hehe
The only difference is that our coast has much warmer summers than coastal California...with July and August averages between 20ºC and 22ºC, in California only the southernmost tip is as warm.
Also the sea is warmer in Pt than in California...our coast have a similar climate to Los Angeles, San Diego, Perth, Morroco..but inland the climateis much harder, with huge daily variations, except in the higher terrain wich has no thermal inversion at night..

However, we have to take into account that drought has been very hard for the last three months, which must strengthen this effect. In Iberia this is one of the driest winters ever.
