OGIMET is truly reliable when you know how to read it, with the hours. Anyway, I trust you Ian, for your extremely serious and conscientious work !
Thank you very very much !
Oh, and 'un petit coucou' to my dear Pit !

I hope I'm not wrong with the location ?
Yes...but i think that the other´s can be milder...when tropical plumes come from the SW Cabo Carvoeiro doesn´t wam´s as much as the coast South from Lisbon.
Also Cabo carvoeiro has pretty low max temps...
I would run it if we could have 6 stations....lol..buth it´s a difficult decision...i think i prefer to sacrifice C carvoeiro itself..lol

Barreiro cidade is just S of Barreiro town, in a low lying place where they can have quite chilly nights in winter.
Barreiro-lavradio is a higher area of the town, just on the shore of the Tagus Estuary.

But when we'll enter into the heart of winter, either there is a cold snap or not, I think the five will drop seriously to occupy places from 22nd to 26th.

Hi, Tormenta, That is impressive but unfortunately AEMET does not publish its daily data anymore, nor does Ogimet so I can not get the daily data.
Here is yesterdays temperatures, along with the means for Portugal for the last 4 days, i have included Capo Carvoeiro for comparison

Looking at its location Pit, definitely cooled in the summer by westerlies coming off the Atlantic. Just spent last hour or so finding the averages for winter, all are from their countries meteorological organisations with the exception of Gibraltar, figures here are given in whole so could be cooler, am going to include Palermo at the expense of either Gela or Capo Carbonara when we start properly in December. No data for Palaiohora so i have included Ierapetra`s which is i believe a fraction less than Palaiohora going by previous studies, so i would say its probably around 13.3C for the average winter mean.

Nice one Tormenta, though the data is old 1852 to 1950 its more professional than the site I was using http://www.climatete...altar/#imperial
I have now adjusted the table above, thank you.
