NOVEMBER 2011 - VERY MILD AND RATHER DRY
An unsettled wet and mild start to the month, but the wind turned to the SE for much of the middle of the month bringing dryer conditions. It remained mild and a new high temperature record of 17.3 °C was set on the 13th. The settled conditions with light winds brought increasing fog though, sometimes quite thick and persistent. At the end of the month it turned unsettled again. The monthly temperature was 2.3 °C above average - the second mildest November after 1994 in these site records - and rainfall was 43% of normal. As so often in recent years November was very cloudy with well below average sunshine.

The monthly weather reports and climatological data for November and the autumn season 2011 in Wokingham, Berkshire, can be found at

Wokingham report for Nov11

Not quite a record autumn here, but it came pretty close for temperature.
November's mean max is a new record (130 year Wokingham temperature series).

Temperature wise nearly every record that could be broken was except for the highest ever minimum and even that came within 0.1C of equalling it.
