Just one air frost here, fell to -0.5C on Nov 7th. Not too unusual here, had completely air frost free Autumns in 2000 and 2009. Here are my stats going back to 2000.

2000 - 0
2001 - 3
2002 - 1
2003 - 5
2004 - 5
2005 - 10
2006 - 2
2007 - 4
2008 - 7
2009 - 0
2010 - 10
2011 - 1

The winter following Autumn 2009 was of course exceptionally cold with 48 air frosts recorded.

Only dropped to +0.1c here overnight so I'm yet to see an air frost in my garden. Previously latest date for that was 1st Dec 2009.

No air frosts here this autumn data below for St Germans S.E Cornwall. Its a common thing to have no air frosts here, out of the last 16 autumns only 6 have had air frosts.

Only a couple here, but I guess the thing to take from those who have the records going back a few years is that the is no real correlation between a frost or unfrosty autumn and cold winters.

not one here so far. About half a dozen <1c nights though, and a couple at official places nearby like Cambridge. Not surprising, at its fairly exposed/breezy here.

Buxton has not recorded an air frost since March 28th, 2011 when it fell to -0.2°C that morning. The closest has been a low of 0.6°C recorded yesterday morning at the Harpur Hill weather station although on my Davis it only went down to 1.6°C, my back garden seems to be a warmth trap for overnight lows it seems.

Still no air frost here - GFS and MetO forecasts suggest a risk on Saturday night, but otherwise it could be ...... 2012? :o

Totally agree, if you look at my table above 2009 saw no autumn air frosts and then we had THAT cold winter! 2005 though did follow suit with a cold autumn and coldish winter.

Not managed below 0C this autumn or winter yet, which is unusual.
