Not had the chance to photograph anything decent recently . Been very quiet here weatherwise. Took this one of the moon last night just as the last bits of sunlight were showing. Was with friends so took pic from the pool area and had to contend with some young children getting in the way all the time and bumping into the tripod ::@
This was the best of the piccies. I should have gone up to the roof where there was peace and quiet lol.

Yes, sadly my uncle (Alex Cliff) died this morning in Bangkok of a massive heart attack. He loved posting on this forum after i sent him the link some time ago. He gathered a good interest in storms since moving over there and even more so when he was allowed to share them here.

Well that's very sad news.

Small condolence, but at least his photos and good humour remain here on UKww to remember him by.

I'll drink to him here and now. Fly now, free ....

Me too. This is sad news. However, he did see an awful lot of storms.

Yes, a great shame. I used to enjoy his lightning pics from his apartment.

Sorry to hear about your loss Rich.

That is such sad news, its just knocked me for six, he always used to apologize for putting so many lightning pics up when we were all storm starved and the lot of us would say "No, keep them coming".

The very next storm i see, I will take a moment and raise a glass for you Englishgent, your amazing photos will last in my memory forever. RIP

Very sad news indeed. Most of the pictures he posted were fabulous in their own way.

RIP

How terrible this news is. I loved his reports of storms over south east asia and the way his descriptions and pictures made you feel like you were there. I am so sorry for your loss Rich
