Here are my new tables for 2012. - The three first days of February :

Attached Image: Extremes in France (1st Feb. 2012).png

Attached Image: Extremes in France (2nd Feb. 2012).png

Attached Image: Extremes in France (3rd Feb. 2012).png

Notes : l'Aiguille du Midi is located in the Alps at more than 3800 m. asl and le Pic du Midi is located in the Pyrenees at more than 2800 m. asl, don't be confused.

February starts really cold, cold, cold compared to January. And according to the forecasts, this will last still a long time.

Actually, January was way above normals, while, for the moment, February is way below normals. The weather is gonna drive us crazy !

My reward is some lovely pics :) The mountains are in the Parc national des Écrins? I have wanted to go there for a long time...

Yes, Villar-d'Arêne is located in the Parc National des Ecrins. I visited this park, this "écrin de beauté" several times when I was a teenager, for trekking. :)

The picture above of the village of Lannion, could easily pass as a picture of a Cornish Village, so similar in style and architecture. Love this new style and layout of your thread Morgane :D

9th, 10th & 11th February 2012

11th February was an impressive day, as only ONE station escaped from any frost at night (île du Levant, Var). Indeed, the whole of France experienced frost. It hasn't happened for dozen and dozen of years that the entire country sees frost during a same night. :o

Corte (Haute-Corse), -4.9°C (coldest min. under 500 m. asl)

No area in France recorded a frost of below -5°C for the first time since the end of January. However, Corte, which is located in the very centre of Corsica, had a pretty low minimum, the lowest of France for that day actually.
