Can someone tell me a good store in the North of England to buy equipment as I would like to view the equipment rather than buy online. Anywhere such as Sheffield,Leeds Manchester etc

Forgive me, but I don't have my crystal ball. What are you talking about exactly?

By equipment I presume you mean a weather station. If you're interested in the Maplin one suggested in the other thread then there are shops in each of the locations you are asking about (created links in the quote) where you'll be able to view the equipment.

Hi Chris -Sorry if it wasn't clear, but by equipment I primarily meant weather staions etc. I am looking for a shop that sells a range such as Oregon Scientific, Davis,Irox etc, in order that I can go and compare them. Whilst I appreciate that these can be bought online I would prefer to be able to physically compare them

Ideally what you're looking for is a branch of The Weather Shop in northern England [y] I'm not aware of anywhere else like them though.

Yes, I'm sure it is the only specialist with such a range from different manufacturers that has a shop you can visit. Maybe you can arrange to have a weekend in Eastbourne!

I'm in East Yorkshire like yourself, and there is nothing that I know of around here. All my stuff is off the net, but I agree it's nice to have something in your hands and to be able to tinker with it.(ooer).

Maybe Leeds or somewhere in West Yorkshire has shops that sell weather equipment?.
