Highest Temperature of the month recorded in Valencia yesterday. Overall the Capitals were slightly cooler than the day before - collectively. Still mild though with no added snow and just 3 having air frosts


Overview Carcaixent
Location: Southeastern Spain and southern Europe (called the European California).

Cental area of ​​Valencia.

Vordeada on the west by the river Xuquer.

Close to Xativa, Alzira, Gandia and ontinyent.

Near the communications triangle Xàtiva-Gandia-Alcoy.

Carcaixent an orange garden.

Was part of the Governació: culla Xúquer province capital was: Xàtiva 1244-1707, belonged to the town of Alzira to independence from the sixteenth century.

1609 expulsion of the Valencian people of Muslim faith.

1707 war of succession and loss of the Jurisdictions: Furs of Valencia.

Century 18 during three years Carcaixent was being close to the capital of the 4 provinces: Xativa.

From 1822-1833 was part of the province of Xativa decision in the courts of Cadiz, which returned capital over half of its historical territory. (Recovering the northern part of the Governació)-historical-cultural identity.

Carcaixent (Valencian pronunciation: [kaɾkajˈʃent], Spanish: Carcagente) is a town and municipality in the province of Valencia, eastern Spain, with c. 20,000 inhabitants. Its origins go back to prehistoric Iberian and Roman times, with some remainders in its area. It is located in the Ribera Alta comarca, 40 km south of the provincial capital Valencia. It is the birthplace of the orange growth and its flourishing commerce in the 19th and 20th centuries. Currently, its inhabitants live basically on agriculture and the service sector.

Three ice days to report and also a little coolder generally with most capitals on my list having air frost. Three stations reporting an increase of snow cover, Riga the most with 5cm extra.
