Portugal`s Capital Lisbon or Lisboa had 7 mm of rain yesterday up to 2100 hrs ending a 44 day drought without any recorded rainfall. The rest of the capitals in this list on the mild side except Romania which added 3cm of fresh snow to its depth. Only Romania`s Capital Bucharest and Bulgaria`s Sofia have snow on the ground.

The extremes list is without the extra data from meteo-climat which is down for maintenance work so a place in France may of been warmer thats not on Ogimet. Likewise Portugal`s IMPt is only showing the temperatures for the same as what Ogimet cover anyway so alot of data missing which is out of my control- lol

[edit] Geography
The town is situated in the lower part of the Vefsn valley where the rivers Vefsna and Skjerva flow into the Vefsnfjord (Vefsnfjorden means "the Vefsn fjord"); the town centre lies in between these two rivers on flat land near the head of the fjord. The Vefsna river is the largest in Nordland by waterflow. In addition to the rivers and the fjord, the town is surrounded by mountains, green hills and forests. The Øyfjellet mountain (814 m) just west of the town is a well known landmark.

[edit] Climate
Mosjøen is located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) south of the Arctic circle, and has a wet and mild subarctic climate (Köppen: Dfc), bordering on subpolar oceanic climate (Köppen: Cfc). Mosjøen has relatively warm summers and mild winters compared to other places on similar latitudes, largely due to its proximity to the ocean. Mosjøen also receives a large amount of percipitation, particularly in the autumn months. Its climate is similar to that of Juneau, Alaska, only with slightly colder temperatures in the winter and early spring.

Just the one ice day, Moscow, on my list although some sharp frosts about too. Only Reykjavik report new snowfall with 7cm of it - a new month but there remains quite a lot of old snow to shift in a few capitals.
