Here's the BBC forecast from 17th March 2005 of that lovely spring warmth that was experienced by many parts when temperatures got high as 21C

I think BBC over egged this a little. 18.8c was the high at Cambridge BG, and 18.6c at Malvern. In fact, according to R.Brugges weather diary, the warmest reading was 20c on the 18th, no widespread 21c+ as far as i can see.
