Atmospheric cells and jets are covered in Key Stage 4 (the two years incorporating GCSEs), and also in that part of the curriculum Coriolis comes under "Global Atmospheric Circulation" resources.

Probably should have kept at it though in hindsight. Didn't watch the program though so can't judge it.

2nd episode on now and they're currently discussing the difference in seasonality between the N and S hemispheres due to the eccentricity of the Earth's orbit and our axial tilt... deeper than the first episode...
