Weird sounds in the sky

If there is a thread for this please forgive me. If not .....

What are the strange sounds that people are talking about form all over the world that sound like a trumpet?? There is lots of You Tube videos which are all very similar. Just wandered if any of you can help. If this asnt been disucssed yet I would sugest a google search with "strange sounds from the sky".

I think somewhere i read that all those "strange sound" videos were fakes.

Its now being recorded by Live news crews i'm not so sure they are ALL fakes. There will be some idiots magnifying fakes but there is some truth! Weird or what!

Airliner engine noise propagating through certain atmospheric conditions, particularly new models (Airbus) on descent. That's my guess. The early Canadian reports were notably similar distances from different airports, not had time to look into any others. 00ctober was closer to Manchester and Liverpool airports but notably similar distance again from other major UK airports.

But Liz is right, a lot of fraudulent reports/vids are emerging which is confusing a possibly real issue.
