Widespread inland fog to burn off this morning will tend to limit temp rises..

Had a min of 1.6 °C but has risen steadily now to 14.1 °C in sunshine. Site record max for 12th March is 18.2 °C, perhaps a minor chance of that going.

Hurn airport only showing 8C currently, however I've just been outside and it must be at least 13/14C now the fog has gone - which I can see is still sat over Hurn airport

Max of 15.4 °C so far but the wind, albeit very light seems to have shifted to the NE and despite sunshine it seems to have put a lid on the temperature and it's back down to 14.8 °C. Nonetheless we are in the lucky clear(ish) sky zone still.

Surprised how much the cloud has burned off here - far more than forecast models available to me suggested. Beautiful here now!

Cheers - John

Up to 16.8 °C here now. Got lucky today but forecast for coming week locally varies drastically between GFS: sunny and very mild; and UKMO: Cloudy and cool with an ENE'ly...

Don't know what the temp was in the shade, but the sun had a kick to it this afternoon. Felt like +19°C in the sun.

A suprisingly low 14.2c at Northolt and 14.1c at Heathrow. My inaccurate AWS recorded 16.9c in Northwood

Yes, I figured something like that, jumping between the sun and the shade. Shows you how much difference direct sunlight can make.
