Contrails in Sat Imagery - 12th March '12 London area transatlantic

Was just browsing through model output for cloud conditions tonight (for the aurora) and current satellite imagery, which all show much the same as yesterday for my area - blanket stratus being slower to retreat from here than elsewhere, grrr!

But did notice this nice effect in a lot of today's current imagery, contrails being drawn in the cloud layers. Particularly the London airports transatlantic flights in this MODIS NDVI (ch. 3-6-7) image:
