GFS only predicting maxes of 10 to 13C in Scotland and 10 to 14C in England and Wales, however its warmer than that. Very pleasant here in Plymouth and feels much warmer than the 13C recorded at the Mountbatten coastal site.

As mentioned in the model thread its likely the very dry ground is aiding temperatures to rise beyond what was forecast. This could be a re-occuring theme over the next week or so.

Thanks Chris, that would make sense i guess with how dry the ground is. Its a welcome surprise - well for me anyway lol

A bit warmer than I expected here too with 16.4 °C at 13.30. Quite a bit of cloud around 10 - 11 o'clock but mostly gone now so 17 - 18 °C is possible.

Looks like it has maxed at 17.3 °C here today. That's a good 1.5 - 2 °C higher than anywhere official in the area though although secondary thermo reads similar.

Cloudy day with a max of just 11.0C here, the cloud has quickly melted away though in the last half hour to give some late sunshine.
