Hi Joseph! Thank you for this thread, this one is essential. Viva España, the most diverse country in Europe and the wildest in Southern Europe (well, excepted the somewhat ugly concrete rivieras).

Last time i checked we still were a independent country, in fact one of the oldest in Europe, since 1128, so don't know why you post Portuguese stations on your list in a topic called "Reports from Spain"

Joseph, From June 15th to September 15th i will be running a project called The European Summer Max Challenge. Coulkd you maybe help me out with what 5 places you consider to have on average the hottest day time maximum temperatures during summer , my thoughts are Andujar, Montoro, Seville San Pablo, Cordoba and Moron. They must be represented by AEMET or Ogimet for ease of use

The Junta de Andalucia has a network of stations, if you want to expand data.

Ifapa Centro Mengibar, day 20 gave 44.7 (44.4 Montoro and andujar 43.7).

http://www.juntadean...&c_estacion=104

These stations provide reliable data on temperature.
