Another warm March day likely with max temperatures maybe moving a touch south into northern Endgland today where 22/23C again seems likely to be top temps. Further south maybe a touch warmer than yesterday, I'm expecting the Hurn to get to 21C today (sea breeze permitting)

Meteosat HRV images show the UK almost completely devoid of any cloud - very rare for March. Only the far north of Shetland has some low cloud and some cirrus off the Norfolk coast. Otherwise the sky is clear. Partial Thickness values are almost unchanged from yesterday, but subsidence has increased a little under the high. Net effect temps over England around 0.5C to 1C higher than yesterday and similar over parts of E Scotland.

What kind of temps would we be generally experiencing and if it were say beginning of August?
Coolish start, 12C atm and rising pretty sharpish with hardly a breath of wind to peg back temps, indeed 22C would be (very) nice!

Hard to speculate really, 850pha temps are about 8-9C above average so if that was translated into late July/August I reckon under clear and calm skies 33-34C could be reached.

lol, looks to be above 20c again at Dyce. This warmth seems to be having a duration similar to the recent warmth in N. America in parts of Scotland and the North West.
Currently 15.8c and clear here.
Min: -2.4c (looks like the mean minimum temperatures may well end up a little below average for this month)

Well the temperature has stopped here at 17C, I was expecting it to get to at least 20C today.

Fairly good chane itll go..
Braemar is heading for a huge diurnal temp range today, min -3C & looks like itll see 21-22C -so maybe 25C
