Great stuff Ed, love the hail and rain curtains, the hail ones looks like they stop a a hundred meters up, then possibly fall the rest of the way as rain - like a hail virga lol. :)

Very impressive pictures. The hail virga almost looks like wet snow, it is such a bright white being illuminated by the sun. The background countryside looks interesting too. Where exactly in the UK were these pictures taken?

Many thanks all, really is my pleasure - it is also hard not to be impressed with so many other Ukww members contributions over the past few days, putting in the effort, sharing the shots which sure have been rolling in! when you can please do keep it up [y]

Jennie, the said tree has definitely seen better days lol but thanks - the appearance of that rather vivid hail shaft was a boon for me and as they say, being in the right place at the right time helps, just shows how conditions were rife for a half decent show Posted Image incidently Conrad, they were snapped way off the beaten track, down several pretty narrow back lanes where a safe pull in is (a bonus in itself at times!) just south of a village called Gnosall.Busy roads usually don't cut the mustard.
