Thunderstorm in the city of London - dramatic line of cloud as it came in - great viewing from up on the 18th floor...

Spiral bands of showers finally crossed into west sussex about an hour ago. Had one flash and one bang from a heavy one reported by my wife and not seen by me, unfortunately.

Lightning struck Queenstown Road sub station the storm late afternoon in London. This knocked out the signals between Clap Junction and Waterloo and has made for a miserable commute home!

Dave, I think +TSRA means thunderstorm with heavy rain. I don't think metars assign an intensity to thunderstorms per se.....unless someone knows otherwise.

Moderate hail shower in MK around 13:00 this afternoon, but no thunder.

Left Paddington at 1745 in the midst of a Thunderstorm, at least 4 flashes and associated thunder. Best storm I had been in for years, shame I was leaving.
