Unusually low pressure for April expected and bringing prolonged rainfall, perhaps strong winds too for southern areas. Please report official / your own pressure readings, high wind gust speeds and accumulated rainfall totals over the 48 hour period. Reports only please, no chat :)

sub 970mb Cornwall - that would be a pretty rough ride here me thinks. Pressure has started to fall here - currently around 1mb per hour at 999mb.

Had 14.8mm upto 6.40 this morning, probably another 5mm since then. The rain has stopped now but some of those postal frontal troughs should deliver another 10mm or so.

Very heavy and at times torrential rain all night only just stopped here in Plymouth. Many roads flooded and a tree blocking the road between Looe and Polperro. Plymouth University has recorded 25.4 mm since midnight. Thunder heard a few rumbles in the last hour too. Current pressure 977 mb

15.6mm of rain and it's stopped for now as the main rain band has passed.

The lowest pressure I have recorded in the summer half of the year (Equinox-equinox) of 975.9 recorded only last week possibly under threat.
