Main corridor of heavy showers is currently extending from Bournemouth-London-Suffolk, with new line of showers (closer to zone of max convergence) from Wiltshire-Oxfordshire-Cambridge.

Lack of sferics currently, suggests that CB height is still rather shallow and disorganised and that stronger updrafts into the colder/drier mid-levels are required.

some very active convection building just to the west of me in a line south west to north east of Royston towards Cambridge.

I am not sure what a tornado is called before it touches ground, but a few of those try to grow towards the ground then fizzle out.

Southwest peninsular convergence zone strengthening rapidly to my southeast. Sky dark, and can no longer see through showers.

Just had a very heavy shower here that intensified very quickly.
I could see clouds left right and centre travelling in all sorts of directions getting sucked into this storm.
Looking at the Met Office Invent rainfall radar this storm built from nothing in 30 minutes (it was between two storms).

I guess my rain god dance works !

Heavy shower in Tiv, but sky now very messy, and generally amorphous. No thunder.

Earlier around 1:30pm we had a beefy shower through Bristol and heard 3 rumbles of thunder but very faint.
