Rainfall total of 18.3 mm here so far since 00z on Saturday. Not a large total really but the rainfall has certainly been steady and prolonged, and there is more to come today for sure.

As of 07Z the low was centred just south of Jersey at 990mb.. still deepening

Radars been playing up but it suggests highest accumulations so far have been about 30mm across Dartmoor and parts of the SE

+55mph gales here north of Buxton this morning, the more pronounced gusts within the past hour followed by leaf debris strewn on from the wind. I would imagine heights have a role to play, aswell as exposure to the easterly valley downwind of Brown Knoll.

Recorded 32MPH at about 7.00AM, from the shelter of the back garden. Seems to have turned quite squally out there now with the peak wind gusts occurring in the showers.

Only recorded 1.4mm of rain since midnight - either the result of a rain shadow and the strong winds or maybe we seem to have missed the heaviest rain overnight? No damage to report.

Wetter that I was expecting here in Coalville already this morning already up to 21.8mm since 00Z today. Likely to be one of my wettest recorded days I would think if it gets in to the 30mm+ bracket. Peak gust so far 39mph which is repectable for the shelter and the 6m ish anemometer height...

That can't be right? My AWS says I've only had 10.8mm so far today?

Possible rain shadow with the rain moving in a less common direction? I reckon mine has under-recorded by 10 - 15% in the last 36 hours.

12.4mm rain so far today.

Max gust 39.4mph - not bad for an anemometer just 8ft off the ground in a sheltered garden.
