Creeping up towards average here now, though I'm not sure we'll make it...

To 1700 on the 27th:

Mean temp = 12.41°C (-0.83°C)

Mean max = 17.5°C
Mean min = 7.3°C

PE has CET bang on average up to and including yesterday - can't link or quote as on phone. With today, then three cooler days to come, looking to possibly be very close to average for the month as a whole.

It'll make above average here, currently -0.2°C below at 9.7°C ..... perhaps I need to go and re-calculate the averages :D

And he uses the 71 - 00 averages I believe so it really is turning out to be very average and normal in all aspects after all.

Looking not far off my prediction (made 20th April in response to Piers Corbyn's "coldest in 100 years" announcement) that after a change in weather from mid month it'd end up a little above average. Whatever Piers says, I claim victory!

Here in Evesham so far:

Mean (1 minute) 12.6c
Mean (min+max) 12.6c

Mean Minimum 7.6c
Mean Maximum 17.6c

Which still makes it my 2nd coldest May after 2010. Though that's more a reflection on how warm Mays have been since I started recording in 2003.

Well well. After the coldest start to May I've recorded, its been the warmest end to May I've recorded...

5 days max under 10C = 5 days (beating 2010 at 3)
8 days over 20C *in a row* (beating 2008 at 6, but 2008 had 9 days over 20C)
4 days over 25C (beating 3 in 2010)

Average so far is 11.6C, or 0.3C above CET average.

Average max is now up to 16.0C, putting it narrowly 5th out of a series of 8 (so far).

In all, a very average month with just 2 days to go, with extremes!
