A moderation in the amounts of rainfall though less so the frequency of rain days in the last week or so. Total is 45.7 mm which is 190% of the average to the 20th with 14 rain days.

May stands at 39mm so far compared to an expected 45m by this date - so drier than usual!

49.7 mm here in St Germans SE Cornwall which is 70.6% of average for the first 21 days

Quite a big turnaround here after the very wet start to the 10th, evident on the chart below. Still at 45.7 mm which is 133% of normal to the 26th.

Despite 16 consecutive dry days to end the month, May still came in above average here:

Total rainfall = 63.1mm (114.5%)
Rain days = 11
Wettest day = 20.5mm (10th)

A total of 59.6 mm in my garden here, but relatively fell after about 19th I think.

And May ends with 39.0mm or 60% of average - so a dry month here. Could do with some rain......!

Finished with 84.8mm here, 151% of the May average. 14 rain days (-1), 12 wet days (+1).
Wettest day was on the 15th, 19.8mm fell.

During the month there was a dry start (0.7mm - May 1st-6th),
a very wet spell (75.0mm - May 7th-19th),
a very dry spell (0.2mm - May 20th-30th)
and a wet last day (8.9mm - May 31st)
