Well its surprisingly quiet in the chat thread today, or perhaps not given yesterdays events elsewhere. Some great captures appearing and well done to all concerned.

Here in NW London the skies have remained leaden and heavy all morning, often showing some convective promise, but delivering little more than a few spots of rain now and then. Temperature approaching midday : 12.7c. DP : 11.9c

Plenty of convection going on here but seemingly lacking in 'oomph' to get anything really going.

This morning looked quite promising with convective towers going up prior to 10am but quickly decayed after that.

Anybody else noticed the helicity across Wales-E Mids today (Wed) along the warm front? Not much instability granted, but still some decent low to mid level shear? Posted Image

Edit - ESTOFEX have issued just under a level 1 given lack of instability.

What was noticeable in my location Glyn was a sudden clearing in the skies ( first sign of the sun in over a week ) and a quite rapid rise in the temperature. Northolt peaked at 17.8c I believe at 6pm.

Slight risk of thunderstorms on Estofex today NI Scotland, Local weather forecasting some rumbles of thunder for S Scotland today.
