I don't expect this thread to be very busy but the reports could come from quite a large area.
Most of the Snow showers are likely from Cumulonimbus and mostly over higher ground anywhere from the Southern Uplands, down the Pennines and over the Clilterns along with the mountains of Wales early on.
Here the 3rd snow shower of the morning I've seen. Snow has settled above 1,600'.
However its also snowed here down to 500'.

At around 08:30 this morning we had a heavy shower of rain/wet snow. Reports on local radio this morning of snow showers in Staffs.

My VP recorded a temp of 3C and rainfall intensity of around 8mm/hr for a time at around sunrise here. Wasn't up to observe at that time but rainfall of that intensity with that temp has often produced a bit of sleet in the past. Bit gutted I wasn't up to see what actually fell.
