Wednesday's partial thickness values are little changed, and the synoptic situation has changed very little. Therefore temps probably broadly peaking in the same locations, however indications of a greater extent of the 24c+ readings vs yesterday think.
26-27C around CS England, Southampton, Solent and up towards SW London

Not sure where Weather Online are getting their 23C max for London as its already around 21C in the centre .. 25-26C seems more likely to me looking at the PTs

Was just thinking the same, maybe its taken from GFS? Even the 06Z run which is coming still only has maxes of 22-24C across most of E+W which look like being a couple of C out at least.

Dew points reaching 16.2c in Warwickshire at 11:00 with 21c temp. Going to be a sticky one this afternoon I think.

21/16 here too...getting unpleasant.

How did we go from a bit chilly to too hot in 2 days?

Still under the low cloud which is taking a bit longer to burn off than expected, so currently at 15.5°C. Still trying to convince those around me that it WILL be sunny this afternoon and temperatures WILL be 20°C+ :)

Lol. Not mine!

22/17 now - almost certain we'll get to 25C in the garden again today. Finningley also 22/17.

IMO those readings are overexposed, given Farnham's official station was 20C at 11Z & nowhere locally officially has higher than 22C at 1050Z either

Maxed out at 21.5C here , sea breeze has set in now from the south so thats our lot! It may be a tad cooler generally than i suggested overall today in fact due to sea breezes, convergence and stubborn low cloud..

Edit.. now back down to a -relatively!! -chilly 18C here now.. rather different to yesterdays 24C at this time!

22.4/17.5 here now, 74% RH and a milky looking sunshine.

People opening windows in air conditioned offices to cool down and are surprised the office is getting warmer now LOL

Foggy then cloudy start here, sun has finally come out now. Temp currently just 16.6C but on the rise.

Eskdalemuir and Aviemore were both 23C @ 11BST

I wouldn't ever call 18°C chilly even relatively !! 18°C must be about the average max temp for late May in your neck of the woods Dave. (I accept that a sea breeze may make it 'feel' cooler) ;)
