As per forecast - clouds gradually blossomed, hefty showers appeared from circa 3pm onwards..the first three kicked off proceedings and finally made the mouth-water, so to speak, a TS appearing quite rudely out of the blue! bringing with them some CGs/ distant thunder. The realization that some action (long overdue..) was within grasp and right on ones doorstep..
Luck does play a big part in these situations and as the storms pushed further away, rather briskly in E/NE direction, no doubt developing all of the time, was left sitting under a curtain of heavy rain and grey!...mainly contemplating how severe shall they or shall they not become? before petering out or how nice it would be to get beneath them further down the line (usually E Mids/Eastwards..) dictated by reports elsewhere.
Yet again, some localities close by remained almost bone dry and or thunderless..such is!
