Sevenstones Lightship is 985.1mb at 09z and should be right in the path of the depression.

Here, 10z its 991.7mb

In the last 7 hours 18mm of rain has fallen.

Recorded 15.6mm at 10am (a little from yesterdays showers). Rain was intermittent overnight but heavy since 9am. Teeming down at present.

Edit, the SSE wind has increased markedly in the last 10 mins and is 'whistling' around the house and must be a near gale at the least.

This may have been noted elsewhere, so sorry if it is repetition. The "D-Day" storm of 5th/6th June 1944 saw pressure drop to 976.8 hPa, there may have been lower readings over offshore waters and the Northern Isles but not sure if this is categorically the lowest for June over the mainland UK land surface?

At work currently so don't have my AWS handy to tell me how much rain has fallen this morning but I certainly don't need it to tell me that its just a completely shocking June day. A little gusty, cool and rain falling by the bucket load!

34mm so far today - water everywhere, trees looking rainforestish. Windy, but not especially so yet.

that rainband has cleared so the total so far is 34.5mm

Here, just light rain now with today's total at 42mm. pressure 986.7mb

.................................

Also, pressure rising at sevenstones lightship now, lowest was 981.5mb, but according to the met office synoptic map, it was 50 miles or so to the south of the centre and probably 3-4 mb higher.

7.1 mm here after the clearance of the rainband, puts me up to about 400% for the frist week of June! Possibly more to come.

Still firmly within the rain band here - current total is 7.4mm looks like at least another 3mm+ or so to add to that before it clears within the next hour or two

SSE winds funneling up the Exe have brought quite a few small and medium sized brances down in west Tiverton. Roads are covered in leaves. Have lost a leafy branch off the Magnolia.

Wind is less strong now.
