Should be for text reports only, of storms, forming storms, hail reports, lightning, thunder, etc.

Any pictures should be posted in the UK Weather Photography Forum.

This is to help those on mobile devices quickly keep up to date with information on live storms.

Chatty type comments should go in a Convective Chat Thread.

At work in Plymouth, Just been outside for a smoke seen one flash to the south, and 40 seconds later a faint rumble, so approx 8 miles away in the channel

Sferics now showing up off the south Devon coast on meto`s ATD confirming my sighting, current cells have electrified especially south of Kingsbridge

have seen a few flashes of lightning and heard a couple very distant rumbles of thunder her in tiverton

Thunder (distant) heard here at 06:53, 06:59 and 07:03
Heavy and large hail at 07:10

Woke to the sound of thunder in Exmouth at some point in the night (think it was around 1.30 - 2am. Was too sleepy to take notice)!

Thunder (overhead) at 07:13, 07:15, 07:16 now around 2 per minute

Wind direction south west

Indeed a lot of thunder coming from it not under it yet no rain or hail but each thunder rumble is lasting between 30 and 45 seconds

I've been sat out listening to that storm for the last 30 minutes or so, quite active and the rumbles seem continuous from this distance.

Recent sferics show around 50 strikes from 0615z to 0620z and more appearing down to Newport.... it looks like this could go on some time for those underneath like you.

sfericas - 121 strikes in the 5 min period to 06:50 in the storm to the east of here.

Heavy rain, around 14mm now. Still constant rumbles mostly to my east now towards Ludlow. No actual cg's seen though. If only it was darkness...

Continual rumbles here now to my West / North West for the last 30 mins or so. Sky dark to our North West and seems to be moving in a north easterly direction.

Edit: Just had chance to look at sferics and it's actually to our South West which is surprising looking at the sky.

394 sferics in 5mins to 07:35z ... getting over the west midlands and down as far as Newport still.

Weird...continuing rolling thunder for the past half hour or so, heavier and heavier rain, loudest just heard..looking rather nasty!
