Hey thanks skanky, i had a go at adding them to that map but some green arrow came up and i don't want to mess it up so i'll leave it for someone else to do lol

Not sure what that was. I've added makers for the ones I can see in your map image, there were only a few visible though.
Not sure how to add urls to images that have been uploaded to the forum though.

Thanks skanky for adding them pins to the map and thanks everyone for the comments, i didn't see the Tornado myself as i was at home just over a mile away and couldn't see it from there, probably the only day i wish i had been at work!

It must be a bit gutting to have missed it, you have my sympathy. :(

Can you give me the post code for where the video was taken from, please?

nothing new really - but just put this together for fun...neither are my pictures - radar from netweather (1435), tornado pic unknown, but posted on twitter by @suepowell31 (a friend of the person who took it).

Been for a look today - given the video presentation I was half expecting a trail but I didn't find one. The terrain doesn't present a lot to damage in places. Oddly the highest rating seems to be in or near both villages (Ewerby lower rated than Swalby though).

There may be some more investigation work to do if someone wants to be enterprising.

I'll post my preliminary results later.

T2, maybe T3 depending on how strong you think Ash trees are (not very).

Do we have a time for this tornado? Just want to add it to the map comments (we could add it to the pins?).

I don't have a time, unfortunately.

Here is a map of where I plotted damage - yellow = minimal, orange = T1, large branches or some roof tiles, red = T2+, snapped tree or more major roof damage. Red line = where I went!

I've got a KMZ (Google Earth) file but unfortunately I can't attach it as it isn't an allowed file.

Nice one, thanks Tim.

Incidentally - and this is general info for all - you can draw maps and shapes on the google map. It's under the right-click menu.

You can also import your own KMZ files - which I have done. [y]

Thanks - I wasn't sure whether to bother with Swarby as you'd done a good job there already. Fancied a snoop round though. :)

If you are able to get out and about at any point (or talk to the locals), then there are a few questions that still need answering if you fancy it:

Is there any damage at Barrow Hill farm? Or Fox close plantation? (E of Swarby)

The track appears like it should go just south of Kirkby La Thorpe but I could find no damage. Did anyone report anything?

The last damage found was a broken ash tree on the road to Oasby, and yet there was a twitter report of something further W. I'm not sure I closed off all the options in that direction. Are there any reports from S of Aisby or even further W towards Grantham? The radar presentation suggests a strong circulation for a long distance, passing not far S of Grantham. This is a very rural area and may not generate any media reports.
